Gilbert has created over 1000 paintings and drawings that range from abstract to representational using acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel, and mixed media. He has had his own show on KNVT-15, Mountain View, CA, called 'Art is so Bizarre'.

Gilbert has paintings on exhibition at Le Portal in Quebec, Galerie Beauchamp in Quebec, Galerie d'Arte Cotemporains in Montreal, Corporate Canvas Gallery in Wilimington, North Carolina, and many other sites. He has been selected for an opening at Stanford University Creative Arts Spaces in July of 2006. He was featured on the cover of the July 28th issue of Palo Alto Weekly.
